Both are really good but I think as far as hands on showing you how to do it, Cosman’s may edge out the Schwarz. One thing to consider is that both of these available for rent at as one or two viewings will be all that it would take to get the gist. I can also recommend any of the numerous online video sources out there. I know I have covered this a few times in my own podcast from flattening and edge jointing to flattening both sides completely by hand. I am not the only one who has tackled this topic. Feel free to email me at if you have specific questions. I’d be happy to do a short video too to upload here on LJ. Almost all of my work is done by hand these days.
