For what it is worth – - I’ve never had any difficulty turning pens with zebra wood but that is primarily because I don’t have trouble with hardly any wood when I am turning pens. However, I have also turned bowls with zebra wood and it is very difficult to deal with. O.T.O.H. – If you are successful in turning a zebra wood bowl it can be quite stunning. It’s a real attention getter.
