Wow, so sorry to hear. I would be out of my mind if I was unable to turn. It counts so much for my relaxation. As stated above, that is a more then fair price and I don’t see any reason where you would reduce any lower…(I would have started a bit higher – say 1500 to 2000 to give a bit of wiggle room). I too would recommend you be totally sure of your decision – I know that there are braces available that would enable you to use your arm strength instead of hands for some of your tool work – I have a friend that lost his right hand in the service that has made adaptations in this regards. Of course that all is your personal decision…I am just mentioning it as an option.
