I had a Dewalt that lasted me about 9 years before the batteries finally gave out. Needless to say I was very happy with it. That being said, as far as I am aware, Ridgid is the only company that provides a lifetime warranty on cordless tools that includes guaranteeing the batteries. The only time that I needed service for a Ridgid tool, they immediately sent out a replacement part by Fedex based only on a digital pic of the problem and confirmation of my tool’s registration – no questions asked.
