I had been hooked on Makita for a loooong time in the cab business. Still have a bunch of the 9.6 volts that hold various degrees of charge. I got pissed off at them one day and went to sears and bought a Craftsman 19.5 volt with 2 batteries a bag and some other do dads. That thing is at least twice as powerful as the makitas ever were, 1/2 inch chuck and only $79.00. I am still using it with the original batteries 4 years later. But then again, I am not installing cabinets or building them all day either. You might consider Craftsman.
