You might consider getting a small shaper. A 3/4 hp or 1 hp inductive motor shaper doesn’t cost much and they are stronger than a “3hp” router with a universal motor. They run smoother and have better lift systems, as well as holding 1/4” and 1/2” router bits and shaper bits.

By the time you get a router, lift accessories, and a table, you can very easily spend more money and it still is not as smooth as a small shaper.
