I’d suggest looking at the tensioning system. If the tension spring is wearing out, you may be lacking enough blade tension, causing the blade to slightly bow during the cut, and thus burning only one side. See my fiasco with blade tension here.

highlandwoodworking.com has a replacement spring made by Iturra that should work for your saw.
