Update, I went and took a look at the radial arm saw that I was considering buying. This machine was rough and very beat up. The seller said for sure it was a single phase motor on the emails. I think he just wanted to get me there to see what he had. This unit has spec plate on to of the motor housing which has the wiring for both 240 and 480 wiring but all the junction boxes had 480 v on them. I might be able to be wired single or 3 phase but I decided not to buy it. Every lever was missing its knob and it had some kind of foot switch hooked up to it. I can’t imagine this is the power, more like a gas pedal. Does anyone know what the foot switch would be used for? Even though I don’t have a radial arm saw to restore, I enjoyed learning about these saws and will keep watching for more deals. Thanks again for your comments.
