I have a DeWalt DW682K that I picked up used several years ago … never had a problem or complaint.

If you have any electric tool or motor repair shops in your area, check with them. I live near La Crosse, WI, and found that a local electric shop (Lacore Electric) is not only a factory-authorized repair facility (for Ridgid, Milwaukee, and several others), but also stocks and sells factory rebuilt tools. The refurbs they sell come with a one-year warranty, and are well below the price of the same tool at retail outlets. BTW … I found them courtesy of the manager in the tool department at Home Depot … I just asked him where I could take my Ridgid tools for service.
