One thing to take into consideration is the length of your piping from the collector to the machine. THe longer the run the lower the CFMs. There are tables that will guide you as to the maximum distances to pipe diameter and CFM of the collector.

Putting the collector in another room is great if possible because it will diminish the noise level in the shop.
