Well I finally got my snow photos. With some bum knees it's tough to wade through 30" of snow.

My back porch after we had to pull some snow off the roof because of leaking at the top of the windows. An Ice dam had built up at the bottom of the roof.

Outside the kitchen window where the snow on the roof has slid down. The garage roof is a metal rood so the snow slides down as the roof heats up a little.

The front of the house with the garage loaded up.

The shop roof. It's metal and the snow slides as the temp is heating up a little.

The snow is dropping off the roof and landing up in front of the door.

It hasn't destroyed the BBq's yet but they are moving around.

The Holly trees are taking a beating.

And those were the trees that I can get close to.

Hoping for warm weather. But not too fast, we don't need flooding.

You should fire your architect. The doors are supposed to be on the gable ends so the snow sliding off the roof doesn't block them. :D

Every time I see pictures of deep snow posted, I remember staying home for school to spend the day clearing snow to feed livestock. One time we had to chop the ice off the bottoms of the mule's hooves so she could get traction enough to pull the tractor to get it started ;-)

Wow Karson - I just could not stand that cold, but it is beautiful. Come on down to Louisiana - we don't ever get that amount of snow - 2" is a blizzard here. Also we happen to have - as you know - the Super Bowl Champions (about a 1/4 mile from my house). Of course, we do have thiose dreaded Hurricanes every now and again & a ton of Imprisoned Politicians.

Hey buddy;

Well I don't have to tell you I've been spending a bunch of time with a shovel, myself. I'm not sure why, but every time I make a path out to the shop, I make it about 4' wide. Must be some sort of disorder.

Well, at least this doesn't happen every year.

Spring is right around the corner.

Well Karson, looks like you got a couple more inches than we did… I've got the drive dug out one lane wide. Back entry is still a couple of feet deep… but we don't need it… The door opens so we could get out if a fire or something.

This time we are at an advantage… no trees to come tumbling down. Unfortunately I've got to drive up to Pennsylvania snow country on Monday… headed right into that next storm that is brewing for Mon-Tue.

See you in the spring?

I hope you enjoy
some snowball fight´s with the children
and I feel for you when you have to shovel
been there and still is shoveling isn´t my cup
of thea but playing in the snow with the children
and see how they enjoy it is pure fun
and to see other adults shake there heads
while the think I most bee crazy is even funnyer.

have a great day when you join the party

I know this looks puny compared to yours but for me it's a big deal. It's the first time in my 50+ years that a house I live in has snow on it. Near Dallas no less!
