What Topamaz said. I’ve made 2 box joint jigs so far, one for my router table and one for my table saw. With hard maple, I got better results on my router table using a spiral bit than I did on my table saw using a Freud dado blade. One caveat, though—in Freud’s defense, I had not sharpened the dado yet. If I had, I almost certainly would’ve gotten cleaner cuts with it.
