For a quick finish I have used spray Laquer and have had good results for my projects and it dries very fast. I have also used Shellac that dries fast too. Regarding a wax finish I have used Renaissance and have had good results with that as well. I find that it all depends on the look that I am wanting and the size of the project, I tend to stay away from a finish that take over a hour or so to dry. Just personal preferance….
