I discovered RSS a while back, and it’s an incredible time saver. I have a reader (Sage) installed into my web browser (Firefox) and I can zip through the 100+ sites I like, checking for updates, reading the short descriptions of any topic that looks interesting, and only having to visit the websites themselves if I’m really interested.

Firefox itself is a great improvement over IE, as you can set it to open a new tab instead of new windows each time you click a link.
