Hello Dick, As you can tell by my name I carve an I have more carving chisels and gouges than you can shake a stick at. Sharpening my tools can be quite time consuming and I would rather be carving than sharpening that’s why I bought a Jooltool sharpening set up. This unit was pretty pricey but I have found that it was well worth it. The other night I received some used gouges and chisels, 11 total, and it took me less than 1 hour to get them all sharpened to a hightly mirrored finish. This sharpener I even sharpened my carbided tip table saw blade on it.
