Looks exactly like an F100 I used to have before it got “T”boned at an intersection.
Mine was red, also.
I staked the bed with oak. Used two slats per side. I cut the corners of the slats with a hole cutter to give them a scalloped look. Ran a cove cutter around each slat and painted the cove red to match the truck.
Before painting, I soaked them in BLO. Then, after painting, coated them with “Man O War” marine varnish. They looked great for 4 years.
