I just checked out your blog Hairy….wow…now thats innovation….when I put my saw on the base…I used an engine puller with two cables wrapped under the saw table (I liked your beam support idea and will incorporate that if I ever have to do it again)....the come along was cabled to the beam in my shop…..once i lifted the saw…I put jack stands under it…until I was ready with the base….then I lifted it up…withdrew the jackstands and lowered it onto the base….I was curious about the base you are using…so far the grizzly base is doing ok….but my shop floor was badly finished (I think the guy poured the floor as an afterthought…and then used matts for the horses….so between the bad finish and the horses the floor is jacked) I have thought about using leveler…or there is an epoxy treatment I have seen that does the same but they are expensive) My grizzly cart sticks and stops alot when rolling it …..Have you had any chance to see how well that base does on rough flooring? If it does better then what I have…I might switch as it would be cheaper then laying up a new floor….
