So they do work, I probably waited too long then because that cosmic goo has nailed the paper on my drum sander too many times. When using it I try not to take off too much at a time, maybe 0.005” but never more then 0.015” at a pass. I’ll have to keep an eye on it then and stop periodically and look at the paper, I have never really done that. Usually I look when I’m done sanding what ever I’m sanding and that can be after many passes. And maybe the paper on my ROS isn’t worn out but loaded up. It’s hard to tell since the sandpaper I’m using is yellowish to start with so it’s hard to see light colored sawdust on them.
