I have an old Delta 1HP Shaper for sale or trade. From what I can read from the data plates it is a Delta/Milwaukee Model # 624210 or 62A210 1 HP 110V Single Voltage 110 V Reversible Capacitor Motor, S/N 97-5128 or 77-5128. It has a wheeled base, and has a old Formica table over the original.
I also have at least 10 pair if not more custom knives and a couple of holders. Some, need slight surface rust cleaned off of them.
I am getting rid of this because I do not have a use for it. I am the second owner, as my father bought it new some 40 years ago. He had the motor completely rebuilt, of which it only saw very limited use afterward. If I had to put a total cumulative time it was ran after being rebuilt, I would say barely 70 hours. I can not get any other details on the shaper cause my father died several years ago. I transported it from California to North Carolina, 8 years ago. I have turned it on, but have not used it. It draws to much current for my service, which is another reason why I do not use.
I can not do this shaper justice, by telling you about it. I have limited shop space and have a need for a 14 inch band saw, or some other tools.

I would like to get at least $350 for it, or trade it for a good 14 inch band saw or some other power tool.

I can provide pictures, I just do not have any at this moment.

I live in Aberdeen, NC, and I am sorry but I am unable to ship or transport the shaper. I wish I could, but I am limited.

As a reference I am about an hour and half south of Raleigh (75 miles), about 2 hours north of Charlotte, and 3 and half hours west of Wilmington.

Those 62 numbers look more like a Delta serial number then part number. 62-xxxx would put it around '48 serial number wise. Delta used a 5 digit combination for part numbers even way back to the 40's, i.e. xx-xxx. Look for something like that on it. There might be two nameplates, one with the serial number on it and the other with the part number, that's how my old Delta/Rockwell RAS is. And when I kept asking the guy for the model number he kept giving me 12-RAS instead of 33-791 and swore that was the only nameplate on it. Till I went and looked at it and on the side was the other nameplate with the 33-791. Is it a cabinet type? I'd be interested to see the pictures when you get them.

I have added pictures of the shaper. May be not the best ones, but it shows the shaper. The Formica top was added by my father. I have no idea how to get it off, but I can tell you, that the fence he made is true as well as the slot. I have at least two or three other holders, and I have not counted the exact number of additional blade sets I have.
