We made the flooring for my store with oak from my door shop. If I hadn’t already had the Oak, I would totally agree with Todd—-Buy manufactured flooring. having a commercial shop made it easier, but not having the right equipment made it more difficult than I would like. It was ripped on a table saw wirh a power feed, then run on a big shaper, also with a power feed. The shaper cutter set is rather expensive—I would hate to run that much through a router table. We didn’t run the ends because it wasn’t practical on the shaper. Obviously it can be done, depending on your equipment—-the question is—Is it practical for you?
