Wood Engineering Gas Machine Machine tool

Its always an exciting day when a new tool joins the workshop family…lol…. Today I needed a Drill press after 10 attempts in trying to drill a 90 degree hole for my Moxon vise project I gave up.

I ended up getting one from Harbor Freight a store and what they don't have you don't need.) I ve never been here before and a friend of mine swears by the place. I ended up getting a 5 speed "Central Machinery "brand.

It was onsale for $70.00.

Ill do a review on it once I have used it for a while….

Its a little one that you can put on your bench when you need it and under it when you don't.

PS: There is a link to the drill press in my Harbor Freight link above….

Congrats on your new Tool! I find my drill press indispensable for doing anything approaching precision work. I have a skil benchtop drill press and it's been good to me. The lamp on yours is a definite plus. I hope it works well for you.

Congrats Ed, you are well on your way to making your wife a woodworker's widow, figuratively speaking. Now that you can bore holes perpendicular to the surface you are only a small step from making mortises. Excuse me while I get out of your way.

I've seen that dp on sale in the $50's. If you didn't use a 20% coupon, look for the code online, local papers, or woodworking magazines and take your receipt back with the coupon to get the discount. I love Harbor Freight for many things due to the coupons, free items, and availability of items not carried by HD or Lowes.
