Hey David
Thats a big bed. your drawers will need glides on both sides and there’s not a way to slant your drawers so there self closing . There is some hardware that closes drawers but I don’t know if the make Them that big and heavy duty like you will need for a drawer that big. blum,accuride make good glides .
Besides you questions you need to think about what kind of tools you need to build your bed. At minimum you will need a circular saw but a table saw would be better also a router and router bits. a drill of some sort.
a work bench or table, yellow glue, a sander radium orbital works best,sandpaper in a number of different grits,
wood filler,wood finish of some sort,paint brushes or sprayer. That’s enough to give you a good idea .
