Location: Cleveland, Texas

Finally retired from the oil patch, trying to get my shop organized while learning about building things. Am a absolute 74 year-old tyro, even though my grandpap was a woodworker all his life. After having six feet of water in my house twice in four years, walked away from it and ten acres, bought a higher (much higher) acre and Miss Honey Ma'am (my wife of 56 years) and I built a 2200 square foot home out of landscape timbers. That was a labor intensive project, for sure. Have built a few small things in my poorly organized and equipped shop. Looking forward to joining one of the best group of folks I have ever had the pleasure of eavesdropping on.

Glad to see you aboard, and although I’m new to L.J., I’m sure you’ll enjoy the experience and all the great projects everyone shares. With your avatar, have you thought about the nickname “Governor”? Great avatar!

‘preshate the warm welcome from all of you. I have been “eavesdropping” for some time, liked (a lot) what I saw, and decided to see if I might qualify to join such an august assembly.

Hillbilly Shooter, no, governor won’t work for me, because that implies that I might be a politician. Besides, this ain’t no Governor, it’s DA JUDGE. Mi kids, grands and greats gave this to me for Christmas last year. Shore is a sweet shooter, especially with 5 rounds of 3 inch No.4 buck. Ain’t had no reason (yet) to discourage anyone from taking something that don’t belong to ‘em.
