My Labradors will tell you that although they have a very guilty look at times, they actually never do anything wrong.

Hey Mark, perfect timing.

My wife and I just spent the last two days at a dog competition – first time ever. Our dog trainer also trains K9 dogs and this competition was really for them. We have a 1 year old golden retriever and we were talked into having her compete. I mean these dogs are just spectacular to watch. They jump walls over 7 feet high, long jump 11 feet, do the bite suit stuff, fetch objects like you never have seen, and all kinds of other weird stuff. All German Shepards and Belgian Malinois against our little Retriever. Needless to say our Sophie failed miserably – and proud of it.

All this to say that you end up doing the strangest things when you own a dog. Not sure if this is how I want to spend my Sunday mornings. I think I like yours better.

Steve

You can see my wife and Sophie over on the left next to some of the other contestants. Ha.

Monte – Labradors are great too. We have a 14 yr. friendship with a neighbor’s ol Lab named Ranger. He was best buds with Jack and Abbey and now Hunter swimming down at the lake. Almost crossed the bridge a few times but he still walks past us and around the block everyday. He was a trained hunting bird dog too.

Hey Holli, thanks. now you tell me! Ha! needed a new laptop anyway. Tyler chewed thru the cord and the electric tape from the repair is coming off so, he’s chewing on that now. Sometimes, he pushes my hand off my mouse so I pay attention to him….Did I mention the teeth marks on the mouse?

Steve – that picture is classic! I love it Ha! those snooty German Sheppard’s always showing off. they’re no fun!
I’ll bet you had a good time. Looked like it! Tyler would be out of control around that many dogs, at the moment. We’ve been working him everyday but the neighborhood kids are out and come running when he comes by.

They had a play date today with Tyler’s aunt, Athena and all three of them went swimming for the first time after winter. He was only a few months old the first time he went in the lake.

Typical retriever… like a duck to water.
