Recently, I bought a diamond ‘stone’ to sharpen the tool steel cutters on my RM. It seems to be worknig OK but soon I’ll be doing lathe tools and I would be guessing as to which type to get for the HHS tools as well as the carbide bits.
any info would be greatly appreciated and links to your suppliers.

Thanks in Advance

There is a bunch of sharpeners out there and most are a pretty good buy. As you always do watch the videos and choose what fits you. I am a cheapo and have made my own system by stealing ideas seen on the adds and videos. It does work for me and is very easy to get a sharp edge on all my turning tools except carbide. For those I use a 3” by 8” diamond stone w/a finger tip holder. Hope you had a successful trip last week.

Ya know Recycle, I stood in my shop and peered into each and every corner looking for something with the initials of RM … but alas I found nothing … another sleepless night and another trip to the shop … even looked in the old tool box for inspiration … still nothing, must be the Real Mc coy or some Ohio slang.
But a Ring Master? Geez I woulda thought of that for sure … in about 6 months.

So let’s go back to our very oldest new rule, if you want to use acronyms or initials, some where in your text spell it out … lol, smh, fp, & thanks for the gray hair (tftgh).
