I’ve made up my mind – sorta

I AM going to buy an Incra miter but I can’t decide whether to get the Incra 1000SE or the Incra 1000HD. OR – do I need another model. I’m staying with Incra because I have their Incra fence for my table saw as well as the Incra fence and router lifter on my router table. They make work easy for this garage saw dust piler-upper.
I’m sure someone on here has one of them and I would appreciate any input before I spend the $$$

Thanks In advance

I am actually about to post my Incra Miter guage for sale. Not sure where in Ohio you are located, I am in Columbus. I have been going back and forth between my Kreg miter guage and the Incra for a little while now but would be willing to sell the Incra. Send me a private message if you are interested in a used one located in Columbus.

take care,

I got the 1000 HD, and think the versatility and fine adjustment is outstanding.

I have three Incra miter gauges… two are the 1000SE and the other is the 1000HD. Get the 1000HD. It is better and worth an few extra dollars

I’m very pleased with the performance of my Incra!

Decisions – decisions – decisions

I finally made up my mind – I found an Incra 1000HD on ebay this AM for $149 delivered. The best price I could find and hopefully the best miter guage I can buy. It appears to have all of the necessities and the ability to add a zero clearance fence – I wonder tho, how much a zero fence will throw off the true reading ?

Sorry you were in such a hurry… Rockler seems to put the 1000HD on sale every now and then. I just received my new tool a couple of hours ago. Brand new, perfect condition with partial lifetime warranty! Like the 1000SE, 1000HD also has the 1/10 degree vernier cursor. Like the 3000SE, the 1000HD has 180 positive stops (vs 41 on the 1000SE). It is the king of the 1000 series and if you keep and eye on Rockler, it will be on sale every now and then As a matter of fact, its selling for $119 right now (4/16/2014 at 3:04 CST). This is a great miter gauge!

@lumberingjoe – great savings, I don’t remember what I paid on ebay but I do remember the shipping was free so my savings was close to the same as yours. Besides, when I decide, I’ll look around for a day or so and whatever is the better at the time is what happens.
