so just like every other woodworker at one point (what’s up with the other every other woodworkers is beyond me…) I was researching and learning about ways to sharpen my chisels, planes, and other blade tools in the shop.
Since I am the weekend warrior at this point, and I do not need to resharpen my tools THAT often, nor THAT much, I figure that I can do without any expensive powertools (there are several of those on the market) to sharpen blades and I dont really have the spa...

So the next step in expanding my routing power is to get that thing banging out mortises – i like the idea of loose tenons, so I looked for a jig design with that flexibility built in. The router is by far the most accurate tool in my shop, much more so than my table saw, so that how i’ve been leaning.
anyway, I looked at some jigs, most significantly the ones one these pages:http://www.woodsmith.com/issues/147/videos/setting-up-and-using-the-router-jig/http://thecraftsmanspath...

Frontside of Jig;Backside of Jig;
I cut the mortise with forstner bits I just got for christmas.
then the tenon on the new jig.
after mitering the tenons i did my first test fit of a corner.
This is my first exercise in mortise and tenon and its been alot of fun. I hope to get better...
