Shop Notes lumber cart

I just finished building a lumber cart, which seems to be pretty popular on this site. I was worried it would be too big, but with it being mobile I would have better access to my lumber rack that is behind its parking place. I made mine with one less bin so it will hold bigger plywood cutoffs. I also used my pocket hole jig to attach the sides to the base, I think it made it easier to build alone also stronger. This thing is big but holds a huge amount of wood, if you are thinking about one for yourself I would go for it.

I had so much fun building this. I built a pantry for my wife and we needed to get some bull nose trim (which is insanely over priced by the way) so I made this tool from shop notes and we made our own. simple and slick, do you like my recycled cabinet knobs from the 70’s? waste not want not

I do feel it needs to be shown to people who will appreciate the work and thought that must have gone into building it. the last photo is the original motor, My 220 outlet was not wired properly and I thought the drum motor was bad. not bad for $75.00. check it out and fire away if you have any questions

This is another shop notes “small shop solutions” project. My neighbor tore out his old storage room from his house, he had all of the wood piled in a trailer headed for the dump. Needless to say it ended up in my shop. this bench is 95% recycled wood. The top is a maple solid core door that was damaged, 5.00 from a door shop. the only new stuff was the handles “which were to expensive” and the birch drawer fronts. It is Heavy and solid.
