Part 1: Day two
Today the sawdust was flyin!Spent time today cutting/ fitting/ assembly of the box seat frame and finishing the box itself. Once the pieces for the fame were cut I started with the corner posts of the seat frame.these were mitered and biscuit together. Then spent some time marking out the arch design I was looking for with the bottom rails. you will see that I set up my Scribe to mark out Finally spent the time to Pocket screw and glue together frame and slide the box into place. ...
Part 2: Mirror frame and Seat box trimings
Well, I as many of us know in the shop that many times we get pulled many different directions. So is the case with me the end of the week here on this project. For some reason, the honey do list is kind of important too. Anyway, the past couple days between other projects, I have worked on getting the “trimmings on the mirror frame and the seat box. Part 3: Stained ready for finish
Our product went through some finishing sanding and some staining today. We selected a Gel stain for this poplar in a mahogany color. Two coats have been applied and now we will let dry for about a day and start spraying on the finish. http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx159/randon1/IMG_3656.jpg
Part 4: finally done
We made it and delivered the entry furniture this week. After a sprayed coat of sanding sealer and three coats of water based semi-gloss laquer finish, it turned out nice.
