Oak Drawer I made for my girlfriends “art” desk.
The desk is oak, unknown age, she is having it refinished.
The original drawer was missing, so I made a LARGE full depth drawer with modern drawer hardware from solid oak with a luan bottom.
Nothing fancy but it fits, it matches the original wood pretty well and it is solid.

Should finish up nice, sorry about the crappy pics.

Well come to find out this desk is actually maple.
Was hard to tell with all of the old finish on it.
Just delivered from the refinisher (I should not be trusted with finishing nice things lol)
He had a bear of a time getting the oak drawer front to match and its really not even close due to the grain differences etc. .but close enough for now.
I don’t even have any maple right now to make a new drawer front anyway.
Sorry not sure what he used for finish didn’t get to talk to him will find out and post up when I can.

Better before pic
After
