Racine, Wi
United States

I have finally rearranged my shop. I got some nice room to move around in. After spending a couple of weeks putting my shop together I was finally able to start to mill some of that red oak down when my small but simple dust collection setup took a dive to the great beyond! So i am back to the broom and dust pan. I guess I should have used that broom and dust pan before taking the photos, well it is a workshop not a showroom!

Looks very nice and well organized shop.
Hopefully your DC setup works very well too. Enjoy making more dust now…!

Bob, you have a nice shop in which to work. I am guess that you have around 400 square feet of space in there. I did notice that you have a serious lumber storage challenge. :) It looks to me like you have just about used every nook and cranny available to store your wood. I see some stacked along the walls, over the bench, in the ceiling and in front of the door. Wow!! Mine gets like that as well at times. My lumber rack will hold about 300 bf and then, like you, I start stacking it on the benches, floor, jointer…. wherever I can find room.

Thanks for posting pictures of your shop. I enjoyed visiting with you.

storage of my lumber gets to be a real pain….the lumber you see in front of the garage door is a mixture of soft maple(silver maple) and pine(blue spruce) which was cut last fall. so if has some time to dry yet before i can use it

Bob,

Great looking shop! Where in Racine are you located? I am on the North Side.
