finishing red oak - 4 replies I am to the point of this project ( Japaneese Garden Bench ) where i have to decide on a finish. It is made of red oak and it will sit outside. I have some Thompsons outdoor finish and i was thinking of using that…. does anyone have any suggestions… maybe minwax tung oil..or maybe that will not hold up well outdoors. any help would b... |

Finishing - 4 replies I am current finishing building 13 jewelry boxes ( 3 different designs) and i am using tung oil as a finish. my question to all you finish wizards out there is do i use a paste wax or a polyurathane or what to finish them off? I would appreciate any and all comments. |
