For sale: 36" Bandsaw - $450 (NW Washington County)

This is a project bandsaw, from the early 1900's, by HB Smith of New Jersey. Rebuild it and use it, or display it as an antique art piece! Weighs 1000 lbs. or so, I can load, and possibly deliver. $450

The cool factor is off the charts on this thing. But With 36" wheels, the blade will be uber expensive!!

I thought it to interesting not to share!

As The Portland area is strongly connected to the Pacific Ocean; with locks etc, oceanfreighters run over 100 miles inland on the Columbia. This may have been a shipwrights saw and with the flat belt could have been powered a number of differnt ways. Just an interesting piece!

I would love to restore it. Too bad it is so far away.

That's cool, there's been another 36" for sale here for a few months but it looks like a pile of junk compared to this one. My concern with this saw is the two different wheels, I wonder if the to wheel was broken and replaced at some point.
