Workshop Update

Hello everyone hope this blog finds you all well and happy. I am just writing to update on the progress of my new shop. I have been busy setting up have come a long ways but have a long ways t go. I am at least able to make some saw dust now, I am going to attempt to add some pictures now I am not sure what I am doing but will try. This shows the lumber racks that I have built still need to add a sheet goods storage area to the left in the picture. Here is a shot of the band saw and ras that I have refered to in a previous blog. The RAS works well but needs a new table and better blade. The band saw will have to be totally refurbed. This is a picture of my router table that I purchased for a much smaller shop where it had to fold up and disappear. It works quite well for what it is will build a better one in the future, you also see both of my dust collectors. The larger one was given to me after a friend shop got hit in a tornado and he decided he didnt want it any longer, needs minor work nothing major. The wood shelfs in the picture was actually my very first project still standing so must have gotten them right. This is a shot of my second project. a work bench made of 3/4 mdf to serve as a work bench. I also built it so that I slide my bench to tools onto different runners and there beds would sit flush with the top of the bech also have a plane panel to slide into place for a solid workbench/ assembly table. This is a shot of my sharpening / scroll saw station along with my charging station with some storage built in to both. Oh yea! it also holds my shop stereo, can’t do without that. lol. this is the final picture. It is of some wood that I have diminsioned for a planner cabinet that I am building. I will post a picture of the finished project. It is also my first attempt at mortise and tennon joints.
