Sadley, my garden bench was made from used treated pine(decking). I know most of you guys would have used white Oak, but hey.
Lots of jointery here. and you can see where the armrests are comming apart. Well maybe not from the pictures, but the thick peices are 2x’s face glued to make 3”. My mistake was to think that I could get away with using liquid nails! What a mistake. The feet and all other glued pcs got the weathered titebond. Just the 2 armrest were “rushed”. The back slats are motised into the top and bott rails about 1/2-3/4”. And all other components are mortised and tennoned together. Even though she was built from used treated decking, she is built well, and should last for decades..
