.....because he grins like one! When someone smiles at you, it’s difficult not to smile back! This is another carving from Renegade 2014, a rough out from Rich Weatherbee. I didn’t know much about Rich and his carvings before the seminar, but he was a good instructor and shared his famous “Diamond Eye” method for doing eyes. I just couldn’t pass this guy up, so many different things I haven’t though about before. Rich was a lot of fun to carve with and is a pretty good musician also! Thanks for looking!

After seeing ”Possum” I had to go back and look at your gallery of pieces.
You definitely are a wonderful craftsman.
I like all of your carvings as they run from true characters to elegant beauty!

you sure do a wonderful job mike, my only thought on this one is i wonder if he would look better without showing his gums…just my thought., besides that, fantastic

I see he is wearing my sisters bargain basement national health dentures, every tooth tungsten carbide for ear nibbling my brother in law POOR OLD SOD .Alistair ps also love the cowboy I intend to astound you all and make such an item myself albeit a poor substitute for litle old possum LOL Alistair
