Crabapple Burl Clock

A friend asked if I could clean up this piece of crab apple and mount a clock in it. It comes from a tree that was cut down in 1957. Somewhere along the way somebody drew a duck on it with a red marker. After planing the bottom flat and lots of sanding, I put a few coats of Danish oil on it and mounted his clock. My photography doesn’t do the beautiful grain justice.
