Here’s a drill press mortising fence I made by screwing 1/2” plywood scraps to a blank a bit thicker than the stock to be mortised. When clamped to the drill press table I can slide the stock as needed and the fence keeps it in line and the hold-downs prevent it from lifting. When set, it’s fast to drill required mortises for any projects. A bit of edge cleaning is required since any known Forstner bit cuts square ! Note the clamped on horizontal toggle clamp to quicky secure the stock onto the fence (think old finder joints).
One of my next projects should be fabricating a drill press tilting auxiliary table that will allow to bore angled mortises.
Thanks for looking.
