Since I haven’t decided exactly what style of router table I want to build, I decided to throw together this little number for use in the mean time. I never imagined how handy it would be. Even though it’s a cheap and easy router table, it’s a thousand times better than no router table at all.
I used a Milescraft twist lock router base to make it easier to capture the router in the groove in the plywood. The table is just a square of 3/4” Birch plywood, I went ahead and added edging to finish it off. When I use it, I just extend my side vice for support (I don’t clamp it in the vice) and then use two quick clamps to secure the table to the bench along with the fence.
