You know the old saying, “If mamma ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy.” Well, this morning, my wife kindly reminded me that I had promised to make her a couple of platter display racks to display a couple of fall platters she has. Well, being in the cleanup, and free stuff mode, I decided to go ahead and make thiese things for here.
Each one is about 18” long. The dowels are 1/4” on the front and 1/2” on the back. It is antique pine that I picked up at a cabinet shop one day several years ago on a drive around the countryside. I managed to get a few coats of lacquer on it and it is now ready to be put in use. The first picture is one of the stands. The other two pictures are the platters on their stands.
Enjoy,

Very nice. Simplicity is practicality. Make another one if mamma is still not very happy..LOL

Have you heard the corollary to “if Mama aint happy . . . ”. It is: “If Daddy ain’t happy, ain’t nobody cares”
Nice job on the rack.
