My boss asked for something for her desk that had the Ohio State design. She asked that it have a “3D Type Effect”. This is what I cam up with.

There are 5 kinds of wood. The base is Lacewood, the Big O is Pine, the small O and the clock holder are Padauk, the background for the Ohio State is Walnut, and the Ohio State is Maple. It is all finished with one coat of Maple Oil, and then three coats of Poly.

This tested and taught me a lot about woodworking!

I really need to start charging for this kind of thing, but well, it IS my boss!

I welcome any and all comments.

Looks great! I wouldn’t ‘charge’ my boss either, but I might ask for a salary increasese in a couple of weeks. (-;

My son’s favorite sports team is Ohio State. He said he would like something like that. I told him my tools could only cut out Purdue stuff. Looks great you should charge.

Looks great except for the UGHIHO part.

How do you get an Ohio State grad off of your porch?

Pay him for the pizza.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

While I didn’t charge for this one, my boss loved it and shows it off to everyone that goes to her desk.

I am currently building the 7 that people want to buy!

I am now writing it off as an advertising expense!
