Kenny was thrilled with the compliments on his double cove box (first posted project), so he wanted me to post his black walnut and eastern maple (single) cove box right away! It’s got faceted corners, which are also eastern maple; and the underside of the lid is Kenny’s aromatic cedar weave, which has been sanded to the point that it sometimes looks oiled, to the casual observer. But it’s 100 per cent elbow grease!

Another amazingly beautiful box, contrasting woods with beautiful grain patterns and I really like the extra thick splines on the little sliding boxes inside the main box. I would really like to see some pics of the actual stages of production in producing these beautiful boxes. Thanks for sharing.
