Hi friends
It’s been a long time since I posted a project so I thought I’d post my most recent project,6 dinning room chairs commissioned by a fellow Ljs Member who did not have time to build them himself. The customer furnished a photo of a similar chair and from that point I built a prototype and an jigs to help help with the scooping process. At the customers request the chairs are made from alder and will be finished by him. As you can see all critical joints are pegged . This project took much more time than I originally thought, but it all came together and the customer picked the chairs up today, saying he loved them,that’s always great to hear after many long days of hard work to make a project the best you can. I hope they meet with your approval .

beautiful chairs, the scooped seats look very comfy to sit in, i think you said the customer was going to finish them, ill look forward to seeing them totally done, but your craftsmanship is what makes these chairs really shine, great job.

Beautiful work Jim. Also a lot of work! I have only built one chair, a prototype and it wasn’t easy, so you certainly have my respect for this full set. Besides looking great, Alder, works well and has a nice warm tone when finished.

Great looking set of chairs! That must have taken a bit of time…. but worth every bit of effort. Now you can get started on mine. <grin>

Beautiful chairs. I like those simple straight lines.Those wooden pins at joints look very good.
