Garden Stool

This is a small stool that my wife wanted for working in the garden. I guess it was meant to keep her from having to sit in the dirt while planting/weeding. She liked it so much that she refused to use it as intended. So, it sits in our house, with many other projects meant for some other destination, because she thinks it’s too good to be sold/used/damaged.

That’s a nice stool. I like the handle in the middle. Reminds of something my grandparents had when I was a child. Did you make her something really ugly that she would use in the garden?

Sounds like you have a “REAL FAN” .... :-)

Stools are under presented on LJ’s nice clean piece. I’m not into hearts though. LOL!

I love this stool. It is beautifully done.

Thank you everyone for the comments.

“Did you make her something really ugly that she would use in the garden?”

No. It was quite a while before I knew that she wasn’t using it as intended.

“I’m not into hearts though.”

LOL. I’m not really either. I made this about fifteen years ago when my wife and I were just dating; still in the puppy love stage. Since then, I have come to dislike the hearts mainly because they, along with the upward point in the foot relief, create a significant weakness if it were heavily loaded.

Now my wife has seen this and wants one. She loves to garden but her arthritis won’t let her get low enough to wprk in the dirt. This might be just the thing. Can you give some dementions to get me started? And what is the wood? Thanks
