I’d like to make a gift to my father in law. So I took a piece of olive wood from the stack of woods for fireplace and i cut it. I haven’t band saw so it was a little bit difficult. I have make many mistakes in this box but the box is mine and is made from me. Im very happy because i convert a piece of fireplace wood to a usefull box.

Looks like a nice box to me – the only olive wood I have is from Santori when we were there on holiday

It is one of the most beautiful hard woods around

You are the only one who will ever see the mistakes. It is a beautiful box and the fact you made it from firewood makes it extra special!

I think that you’ve done a very nice job on it. He’ll love it.

tatum you did good, mistakes or not, and the most important thing is ”I have make many mistakes in this box but the box is mine and is made from me. Im very happy because i convert a piece of fireplace wood to a usefull box.”!

Thanks all of you for your comments. The box was totally successful and I was realized when I saw a tear drop from my father in law. Anyway the olive wood is common in Greece and we use it at 98% for the fireplace (the flame its perfect). Now I have 3.000 Kgr for the next winter…..If you ever come in Greece sent me message to give you olive wood …
