Project Information
This coffee table was completed before Christmas as part of first semesters school project. The design seems simple enough but there were challenges to overcome and various types of joinery. All sheet good parts were hand selected and pressed by myself. Doing projects with different contrasts of wood is one of my favourite, especially walnut and maple. Once again, the drawer boxes were constructed on the CNC dovetailer which did a great job. Lastly I purchased some oak handles from Lee Valley and sap stained them to match the walnut as walnut knobs and handles are hard to come by unless you are custom making them. The colour match I achieved was very close and convincing to most people. Enjoy the pictures and please feel free to comment or ask questions! Thanks.
