UPDATED – Final table is 3rd image. Last image is the slab when I received the raw wood.
I haven’t posted in a while but I have been busy. This is my latest project. An 8 foot 1.5” Cherry Slab, walnut and cocobolo butterfly inlays to check the cracks. The slab will be mounted to a solid steel base I had made by a Baltimore craftsman. So far, I have applied 3 coats of Danish Oil and now trying to decide if I apply more coats or do 2 coats of poly-urethane to protect it some more since it’s going to be used every day. Anyone with experience applying poly over Danish Oil please feel free to comment.
