This is a new style of cutting board/serving tray I have been developing – I call it my Version 2.0 cutting board. I have an art show in the summer and I wanted to do something a little different. These all have 1/2” dowels glued into the ends to act as handles. They average at about 10 inches wide and 20+ inches long on the sides.

Woods – maple, walnut, cherry, padauk, ash, oak, and chechen

Nice design, haven’t seen any like that before. Did you stain the dowels?

Thanks guys! I’ve gotten a really good response from the people who have seen these. The dowels are cherry, walnut, and maple. I tried to use dowels that would complement the wood

Very nice…one question. Can you get your fingers under the dowels when the board is laying flat?
