I have been trying to organize and update things on my computer. I realize that I don’t post many of my new projects here in my gallery and I want to rectify that a bit, as it is a nice place to display them.

This is a fun and easy candle tray that I designed. It is made of mahogany and the two charms on the first picture are holly and walnut, making the bunnies “white chocolate” and “dark chocolate” respectively. I also did a version of this candle tray where I used acrylic paint and DecoArt’s Antiquing and Staining medium to lightly stain the tops only of the eggs. This gave a fun and interesting variation.

The final picture shows the eggs alone, which can be used as ornaments on an Easter tree or a garland or anything you wish. They are all fun and easy to cut on the scroll saw and paint and embellish using the paint and some hot-fix rhinestones I got from Rhinestone Canada.

The pattern is available on my site here: http://www.sheilalandrydesigns.com/product/SLD343

Thank you as always for your support.

I like both version of this design. The unpainted brings out the richness in the wood and the beautiful details of the design. The painted version would complement any table setting to bring out the Spring colours.
