I love the old toy designs. Found this one in a 1995 issue of Woodworkers Journal, designed by Ed Schimdt. At this point it only needs the clear coat finish and to have the blade permanently installed. At some point I’ll make the accompanying lo-boy trailer and tractor.
This one is made from oak, walnut and maple, is 12” x 6” by 5.5” high, weighs 2 pounds, and has a working winch!

That is a really cool toy. I am planning on makign a few construction toys and trains I have found. This one is AWESOME. Great job!

If you are looking for rubber tracks; check out vacuum cleaner drive belts. They even come with cogs and can be turned inside out.

Considered it, but the way it’s constructed would require cutting and drilling to put a new one on. But thanks for the suggestions.
